I am making the hearts for a friend who is Sister working in the neonatal unit in Sheffield. She says it really helps the bond between baby and mother especially when baby is too poorly to be held at all.

Of course I don’t mine you advertising my free Developmental Hearts pattern, Sylvia! I put this pattern in the shop because I have had such a buzz helping with some of the projects you talk about, and because I heard someone say they thought squares might be easier than hearts (they aren’t – so please do download the pattern and give the hearts a go).

Thanks Abigail. Yes, I think she did. She could not believe how many people were there and how fabulous the quilts were. I am thinking of taking her along to see Harrogate next month as well. We will turn her to the quilty side before much longer.
