Working in a haberdashery hosting quilting groups and covering shop hours during sickness and holidays we are always being asked for workshops by our lovely ‘crafty’ clientele and I am always looking for something different to offer.

Being self-employed and having so much time on my hands due to lockdown restrictions, I have managed to do something that I have wanted to do for an exceptionally long time, the only obstacle in my way was having to stop before doing too much, I needed to show what could be done using just a few embroidery stitches and not cover to big an area that would overwhelm a beginner.

I did each shoe different to the other, thereby showing what can be stitched and how a little can make a big difference.

The only problem I have come across in my creativity is having 3 daughters and 8 granddaughters all putting in an order for a pair!! They will have to wait as now the samples are finished, I have a pair for myself ready and waiting to be stitched!
