I used templates provided with a quilt magazine, scraps of cotton in colours of choice, a 12 inch square in border fabric.

Print out the template sheet onto heavy paper or light card. Cut out templates.

Using the colour for the centre of the flower, cut and attach fabric to 4 of the elongated hexagon shapes. I tack my fabric to the template but you can use clips if you like to use them

Follow the same procedure with 12 elongated hexagons in the colour for your petals. Again follow same procedure with 4 squares and 8 triangles in the light green background colour.

Begin to attach the pieces as shown in the pictures

Once all the EPP bits are stitched together it’s time for the border. I cut 4 strips of card to 10.5 inches by 1 and 7/8 inches to complete using the EPP method. The easier way would be to cut your border fabric In 21/2 inch strips and attach in the standard way for a border and trim to 12.5 inch block. Press your block then remove the tacking and the templates. Stitch in some beads in the centre if you like.
