Oh My Gosh, how have I managed without this tool up till now and how did I not know about it?!?!

Let me go back to the start of the story. Earlier this month I was scrolling through Facebook and someone had a photo of the Kwik Klip tool and they were saying how good it was and instantly my interest was piqued. Several people had commented that they had never seen this tool before, and others said that they had had one for years and loved it.
I immediately decided that I had to have one and went online and ordered one. I have the thinnest fingernails of anyone that I know, and they just tear very easily so this tool had me very interested.
I had two quilts that needed to be sandwiched ready for quilting and I had one of them layered on the cutting table and I started to pin it together. About 15 minutes later I heard the postman dropping the post into the letterbox, so I went and retrieved it and I opened the small package and my Kwik Klip had arrived, right in time for me to use.

I read the instructions on the back and immediately started to use it, it was great, I soon got to grips with how to hold it, and it didn’t slow me down and really helped with the pinning, without shredding my nails. I am so pleased with it. My fingers were not sore, and my fingernails were mostly intact.
All you do is feed the safety pin through your quilt layers as normal, slide the klip in front of where the pin comes out on the top layer and just lift the pin tip into the pin catch – easy and quick.

If using pins to baste your quilts is your favourite method of basting, then I highly recommend this tool. It cost around £16.00 (I can’t remember exactly how much).
You will be pleased to know that no nails were harmed in the basting of this quilt!!!
