Following on from my 6 Xmas Presents blog.

On the twelve’s days of Christmas the sewer gave to me 5 Fancy Bows.

You will need:

• Felt or Ribbon

• Needle and matching thread for hand sewing (optional)

• Scissors

• Hot Glue gun and glue sticks (optional)

These ornaments have been made very quickly and simply because I have also factored in not only time, but something you might want to make with children.

The size or these is as follows: 3 ½ inches long and ½ wide. And the middle section is ¼ wide and 1 inch long. I chose to use felt rather than ribbon because I wanted to have this size, however the small ribbon you fine in clothes will work but you will not have a choice on width and may fray if fiddled with too much.

First fold the long strip in half and mark the centre point. Open up and then fold the two edges so that they meet at the centre. Sew them closed. Then squeeze the middle section together and wind some thread around the outside to keep it in place and tie off. Using the smaller piece wrap it around over the middle and sew up the back.

Add the hanging thread and there you go a little bow. I liked these; I felt they fitted the size of the tree better than the other decorations I had chosen to make.

I hope you enjoyed the fancy bows, and you will continue to follow the rest of the blogs for the other ornaments.

My tree is fast filling up.
