UKQU BOOK CLUB 8 years, 1 month agoJust started the book last night. Read 4 chapters – thoroughly enjoyed the book so far. The references to the quilts are good. The part where the heroine works in a Miliners is great – I did a C & G course for 2 years in Millinery and taught for a year – bought it all back! Wonderful…. Can’t wait to pick up again tonight. Thank you so much…[Read more]

UKQU BOOK CLUB 8 years, 2 months agoI like the Option 1. I used to belong to a Book Club and this is what we used to do. As I have never read a ‘Quilting’ Novel before I look forward to the recommendations.

Hi Jane, I had one of these in the ‘free’ pack that came with my new Sewing machine. I hadn’t a clue what it was for (it didn’t have a label) but it looked as if it would take the bobbins. It is a brilliant piece of kit for all the reasons you have said. I would recommend the Bobbin Holder to any Sewist(!)

With Easter just round the corner, I thought I would make a Squeezy Pouch to hold either Mini Chocolate Eggs or, perhaps, Ear Buds for the Phone.

3 x Fabric for outside

Thanks for the info Karen. It is a bit of a minefield nowadays with all the ‘suing’ and holding others responsible for yur own actions. Whatever happened to common sense? – I think we are all a bit guilty of ‘bad’ practices and I am certainly guilty of this. I put plates in the micro to warm – which is probably not good practice. Oh well !…[Read more]
