I showed you a couple of my jackets. I recently noticed quite some wear and tear on some of them.
Not too strange when you take into account they were made in the early 2000s. It’s mainly the silk parts that are d…

One of the best things about UK Quilters United on Facebook, is how it brings quilters together in real life (the outernet!) instead of just the internet.

See you at the Blogtreat.

Denham is a great venue for a retreat, I have been there twice with Avril’s group. Some amazing quilts your group has made there! Love your flowerpot and Rainbow. So pleased you enjoyed it, and like Lyn I can’t wait to meet everyone again at the Bloggerati retreat in November!

What amazing quilts and sounds like a great time was had by all.

Always a pleasure to meet fellow quilters and our group ” Barclay Quilters” have been up and running for years with 3 successful retreats per year. Lovely to have met Juliet, if only from a distance just in case she spied my mini quilt…….

Fabulous. I love our annual trips to Paignton with my quilting group and this year I have a lovely trip up to Derbyshire to look forward to in July. Like many, with work and tutoring I don’t get much time to stitch myself, so a few days away just for stitching is a real treat.

What equipment do you need to start hand quilting? Well, there are lots of different views on this, so I will share what works for me.

A well earned half term flew by, but I ensured I worked my through my project list. I finally got lavender Lane block of the month into one piece. It all went wrong!, that sinking feeling set in several times when I…

The black background really makes the Kaffe Fasset Collective fabrics zing. The Lavender Lane quilt is exquisite, I adore the twiddled blocks. Taking pictures is essential to remember what you have made, especially if the quilt is going to a new home.

I love the colours and prints you have used, the quilt is so vibrant and happy.

Today should have seen the next instalment in my Modern Quilt series but, as you may have guessed from the title, it isn’t!
The last week seems to have passed in a blur with a trip to IKEA for bedroom furniture, new…

UKQU BOOK CLUB 7 years, 1 month agoThanks Pam! Having canvassed interest a year ago, it just seemed such a shame not to continue with a book club. I may be less skilled at leading any discussions, but the Forum is here if anyone would like to discuss the books.
Agree regarding the story; a bit predictable and over-simplistic, but still enjoyable.
