Juliet Nice wrote a new post, Flying Geese Ruler Review 5 years, 4 months ago
There are many methods for making flying geese, but the most common mistake is in the working out the sizes of the blocks to use. At first glance you would use corner blocks half the size of the main block, but as…

-
The Maths for this block are tricky. I even bought a book about it that didn’t help! I can see the ruler would be great.
-
I have avoided flying geese until now because all of the sensible methods I could see were either a) too hard or b) too wasteful. This ruler appears to eliminate both.
Oh dear – my bank balance!
Thanks for the clear description.

Hi Chris, I follow UKQU using ‘Bloglovin’, and thought I’d like to have a go at this puzzle – is intriguing, and thank you for putting it out there.
However, when ‘ordering’ the worksheet, it seems that where I live – Melbourne, Australia – is creating a technical problem with the process. I’ve submitted an eticket, but have not had a response. Is there a way around, can the worksheet be directly emailed to me?
Thank you-
Hi. Sorry to hear that – I know the website does sometimes have problems with ‘overseas’ stuff. In the meantime I am also posting this quilt-along on my own blog – Meadowsidedesign.wordpress – and you should be able to download it from there as well if the UKQU download isn’t working for you.
