Hi
Check out the Blogger Central .. there are already one or two long arm specialists posting regular blogs on there, plus keep an eye out in the hints and tips section. We will let our team know this is of interest. -

Where do I begin? Just make a mark, they say. Just cut the fabric, they say. But sometimes it seems so much harder than that. It’s that whole blank page thing – wanting to get that first page just right. …

I’m following your Fancy Forest quilt along, I’ve had the pattern for ages; I tried an owl, which went wrong, and then a fox that turned out just right. You might just inspire me to try that owl again 🙂
-
Hi Alison the pattern had sat on my shelf for nearly two years so a QAL seemed a perfect excuse to actually get it made. I was looking at the owl today …. hmmmm glad I didn’t start with that. You can join in any time if you fancy – thistles for January and Bunnies for February. Thanks for popping by and taking the time to leave a comment.

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for the compliment on my choice of themes for my first blog. Will you be giving this a try?
Do let me know,
Regards, Jo x-
I will be giving this a go, when time allows. x

Helpful blog, I’ve bought a boring desk diary this year, now off to cover it! Thank you 🙂

Hi Heather
I am really glad that you have found the blog useful. As I said to Judith in my reply to her, I would suggest for your first attempt that you buy a cheap diary. Don’t use your best fabric – use a cheap one first of all. Try following the instructions that I have given (if you can!!!) and if need be, watch a tutorial on YouTube for a bit of back up help.
I would really love to see your finished results Heather if you can post it onto the blog….but be warned, once you start covering books it becomes very addictive!
Regards, Jo x

Hi Judith
So glad that you liked the blog, and is now something you are willing to give a go. I would suggest for your first attempt that you buy a cheap diary (the ones from the shops where that you pay literally 99p or £1 for. Don’t use your best fabric – use a cheap one first of all. Try following the instructions that I have given (if you can!!!) and if need be, watch a tutorial on YouTube for a bit of back up help.
Let me know how you get on Judith,
Regards Jo x

Lovely little blog Jo, I make lots of book covers and really enjoy making them. I love Tilda fabric as well and have made some of her items – my favourite is a seabird who has very long legs and lives in my bathroom. Looking forward to next months blog x
-
Thank you for your kind words Sue……I am a Tilda freak. There are Tilda makes all around the flat!
