This is really interesting to read, as I ordered a kind of “bondaweb” and got something very like this. At the time I did not know how to use it, so this is very helpful indeed!

Good idea Vendulka, tomorrow’s job

Oh how I wish…! I have a sewing room and a crafting room. My crafting room is more planned than the sewing room, but one of my stepsons came back to live with us last year, and I said he could use the crafting room for storage short term…obviously we have different ideas about what short term actually is. I have been trying to finish off WIPs and PHDs recently, including getting projects hung in the home, and I finished a quilt top 3 weeks ago that I’ve been working on, on and off, for 6 years. Problem now is finding the time to quilt it! I’d love to get going in my sewing room today, but alas, work calls!

Very interesting Jo I think I will have to try this sometime. It seems like the only special thing needed is the needle!

A lovely read and I too want to start doing this, its just the time shortage getting in the way. One of the ladies I have coming to one of my groups is well into this method of stitching and creates some lovely pieces. I need to get over my obsession of having everything looking perfect!!! A pre-printed piece I may take a look at purchasing.

The quilt police do exist, she came to our guild and told me my skills were seriously lacking for someone who had been quilting as long as i had and perhaps i should ask my husband to help more around the house and give me time to quilt more. She suggested at least 30 minutes every day and was shocked when i was not pleased with her statements. This definitely has taken some joy away from my quilting.

Could you tell me how wide these ‘small’ clips are, trying to work out what size to order but not much information online and there seems to be regular size, small size and mini, Thanks
