What a super idea! Though I am an avid user of all scrap textiles, this idea was eye-opening to me! Thank you!
-
Thank you – and sorry for the late reply. I also like using scrap textiles, although I’ve recently started to question my sanity in saving and collecting all the little pieces, snippets and thread ends. I’m starting to be a little more ruthless with what I keep and what I don’t – but only after holding on to it for a while!

Such fun block!!!

Thank you – and sorry for the late reply. I certainly had fun doing it, and it is always great when a project comes together in the way you envisaged it!

It’s a very American book. Uber American lol. The group of women are obviously diverse in order to provide a variety of stories. I’m not sure what the prevalent theme is; the quilts, the Bunco, the food, the stories, they all seem to get equal time. Bunco seems to be something like Yahtzee and they seem to be making mostly traditional quilts.
There were no murders or zombies, which was a shame.-
There’s a murder in the February book!!! If you can find any book with quilting AND zombies, please let me know and I’ll pick it!!!

What a nice explanation of the process so many areas went through, pulling together in a crisis.
-
Thanks Maggie, we are a fairly small town with about 6000 inhabitants, but still very community minded, and somehow we all know someone else that can contribute to a joint effort.
-
-
This is great read Teresa, what fun seeing all your ‘out there’ fabrics putting a smile on peoples faces, well done you
-
Thank you Ami! It just shows you what can be done working as a motivated team in a local community with other “people who sew” and using somewhat bonkers fabric makes the sewing process more enjoyable. We got the donation figures for the Poppy themed Masks which were at the 4 local mask trees. £1129.11 was raised from our face coverings which contributed to the overall local Royal British Legion Branch total of £16,593.13 raised.
-
Wow, that’s amazing Teresa, well done to you and your fellow crafters. I wish more communities came together the way that your community have done, wouldn’t the world be a better place x
