      Hi Linda and Lesley,

Apologies, but we rarely check the forum. How remiss of us! Our day job really has been taking over lately, so the best way to raise any issues is to raise a ticket as we are monitoring that much more closely. You can see the Group issue with spammers was resolved relatively quickly too once we were aware of it. time wasters of the worst degree I am sure you will agree.

However, with regard to the bookclub and indeed all of the groups, these are complimentary groups for the owners of the individual groups to administer, so perhaps you may garner a response by a direct approach to them. I will raise matters with Arlene for you however with regard to the book club.

We do administer the website, this is around our spare time on a voluntary basis and we really do work hard to keep the content fresh and ideas moving.

I hope you are entering the competitions .. the November Quilt Competition is still open for entries and someone will win the Fantastic Janome 8200 QCP which will be announced early next month!

      Kind regards
      Sylvia

Liz Trenow, the author of the Forgotten Seamstress, has kindly given an interview to UKQU which you can find in our Quilt News Section. There’s a link to Lynne Edward’s pattern interpreting Maria’s Quilt too. Be great to see everyone’s efforts in the future over at UK Quilters United FB Group and maybe we can group them all into our social media Pinterest and Instagram. But enjoy the book and don’t forget to come and chat with Arlene and us all. Watch out for Arlene’s regular column each month in the British Patchwork and Quilting Magazine too.

Loving this book even more now I have found a direct geographical connection with one of the characters. Belle and I come from the same county!

I have made a start, and having just checked one of the Quilt Patterns mentioned I am surprised how it has lasted the test of time, and been reinterpreted in modern day patterns too. the Star of Bethlehem is one I had not heard about previously, but with so many patterns that doesn’t surprise me one bit. The book, I am finding, is engrossing and not just because it talks of quilts. It flows and is written so well I am almost sat next to Honor on her journey!

I think I have the Kindle Version, if not I soon will have. Whats the protocol for this please? Apart from reading it of course!

Just realised how to do this … and we only went and created the website didnt we! hehe.
So personally, I would like to have a book recommended and read a chapter at a time .. and discuss the plot lines and characters. I am a lazy reader and often skim over important elements. This way would concentrate me more. Then a forum for the book can be used to explore our thoughts about that book .. an organic discussion of the Novel. Lets leave the pattern books and such to the website reviews. This comment is not endorsed by any affiliations hehe. My only concern is my lack of available time to read, which I enjoy almost as much as sewing and with work and website hardly have enough time for that1 But lets relax and have fun!

      Hi Valerie

You need to email them to the website email address and we will add that for you.

      [email protected]

Include as much information as you know, including the location address, time and date and anything you think might attract a visitor (how many quilts might be on display for example, I love looking at people’s quilts).

Hope you get lots of visitors.

sorry for the lack of response … the spammers were removed some time ago. Unfortunately since we rarely get comments here its not checked regularly enough, but I hope you can see the issue is resolved. If you do have any issues its often better to raise a ticket as those are checked afre more regularly.

      Regards
      Sylvia

      Hi
You need to speak direct ot the seller about missed orders, and in this case its Juliet Nice. She can be found on UK Quilters United FB Page, or send her a PM from her shop on here.

Hi Everyone! Great you are enjoying it all.

The picture can be added or changed in your profile. Click on the avatar at the top right (or your own pic if you uploaded one) and the drop down menu reveals a menu. Click ‘Profile’ and you are able to add or change the picture.

If you are struggling then raise a ticket on the support system (the lifebelt on the right of the screen) and one of the website Tech team will certainly be able to help.

Keep coming back too … lots of exciting new things coming up!

      Sylvia xx
