Hi Fiona, There are a few of us LA quilters that are also bloggers on the site that would be more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding FMQ. I like many started quilting on my domestic machine. If you would like to see a blog om FMQ please feel free to ask.

Helpful blog, I’ve bought a boring desk diary this year, now off to cover it! Thank you 🙂

Hi Heather
I am really glad that you have found the blog useful. As I said to Judith in my reply to her, I would suggest for your first attempt that you buy a cheap diary. Don’t use your best fabric – use a cheap one first of all. Try following the instructions that I have given (if you can!!!) and if need be, watch a tutorial on YouTube for a bit of back up help.
I would really love to see your finished results Heather if you can post it onto the blog….but be warned, once you start covering books it becomes very addictive!
Regards, Jo x

Hi Judith
So glad that you liked the blog, and is now something you are willing to give a go. I would suggest for your first attempt that you buy a cheap diary (the ones from the shops where that you pay literally 99p or £1 for. Don’t use your best fabric – use a cheap one first of all. Try following the instructions that I have given (if you can!!!) and if need be, watch a tutorial on YouTube for a bit of back up help.
Let me know how you get on Judith,
Regards Jo x

Ooh make the bargello, it’s lovely when your sons want a quilt. Then he’ll give you encouragement with the twilight hangings. Nice to swap between projects.

Thank you for the encouragement, I have a few projects before I start but I’m thinking a school holidays project.

Make the Bargello! I Mohave made one but am very disappointed in it. I need inspiration to zoosh it up!

Thank you, you should get it. It is not a quick thing to do and you have to use a lot of sticky labels, but well worth the effort.
