I really like your quilt designs! I’ve just searched and found the magazine with your sailboat quilt design in it, Goodness knows why I didn’t buy it at the time! I bet a series about improv blocks would be inspirational!

Improv blocks sounds interesting. Looking forward to what you share with us.

Yes please! Seeing you in action at the retreat and how you made it all seem so easy, it would be great seeing even more! Thank you also for starting the modern movement within the guild.

…………..that is the question.
So, you’ve got your fabric and you’re ready to make your quilt. Are you in the ‘wash it first’ camp, or the ‘just get on with it’ camp?
I would think of myself as the ‘Just get on wi…

Just made a couple of these and managed to get one decoration out of two pieces from a layer cake. The inside of a roll of sellotape was just the correct size for drawing the circles

Hi Linda and Lesley,
Apologies, but we rarely check the forum. How remiss of us! Our day job really has been taking over lately, so the best way to raise any issues is to raise a ticket as we are monitoring that much more closely. You can see the Group issue with spammers was resolved relatively quickly too once we were aware of it. time…[Read more]

sorry for the lack of response … the spammers were removed some time ago. Unfortunately since we rarely get comments here its not checked regularly enough, but I hope you can see the issue is resolved. If you do have any issues its often better to raise a ticket as those are checked afre more regularly.

Absolutely delighted to see Amsterdam Memories featured in your post! I bought the pattern and fabric in Amsterdam some years ago, pieced the top, and then, my extremely talented friend begged to quilt it! We loved seeing it hang in the two person category, and heard some very positive feedback from visitors.
-
Isobel, thanks for letting us know the name of that specific quilt. I loved it at the show, it was truly stunning!

Thank you! We love it too.

Love the idea of a home away from home. I, too, have two machines and another one. My other was is a Newhome too, had it as a present to myself when I was widowed in 1978. It, too, doesn’t work but it still has pride of place in my workroom. Look forward to hearing more of your tales from the Acorn Falls…… thank you x
