Juliet Nice wrote a new post, Flying Geese Ruler Review 5 years, 4 months ago
There are many methods for making flying geese, but the most common mistake is in the working out the sizes of the blocks to use. At first glance you would use corner blocks half the size of the main block, but as…

-
The Maths for this block are tricky. I even bought a book about it that didn’t help! I can see the ruler would be great.
-
I have avoided flying geese until now because all of the sensible methods I could see were either a) too hard or b) too wasteful. This ruler appears to eliminate both.
Oh dear – my bank balance!
Thanks for the clear description.

Juliet Nice wrote a new post, Painted Lupin 5 years, 9 months ago
I love lupins. They grew in our garden when I was little and I would pick the petals off and manipulate then like they were little mouths. I don’t think I’d seen one in years until a recent chance sighting at a B&M…

Love the softness that the paints give. I can imagine a quilt using blocks just like this. Just a gorgeous design x
-
The soft colours make that look fabulous. I put Lupins in my garden this year . Love it x
-
Really original, and full of possibility. Lupins are a weed in New Zealand: I wish our weeds were as colourful!

Love it x
